wow, that boat trip looks amazing!

Wow! My cousin goes back to Thailand every couple of years, this year for a wedding. Someday I'll get there. I really love the karsts (rocky outcrops) and really hope to get up close one day.

Natsukashii!!! I love Thailand and really enjoyed this post. What a wonderful experience for Shuma!

Des langoustes et des huitres, une super belle plage privée, que demander de plus?

What enticing photos of a beautiful trip! We're going back to Thailand soon and have never been to the south, but now we're inspired! We'd love to take the day trip you did; would you tell me how to arrange that? Thank you!

Amy

You can book through the website: http://www.riverrovers.com/ It's not cheap but was totally worth it.

Great photos, Amy! Loved the one of Shuma pointing at something off-camera, in his cute little swim diaper.

Just wanted to say that my husband and I took our kids backpacking for three weeks when they were 6 and 12. It is definitely not out of the question for you now that you're a mom. There are plenty of hostels that are family-friendly - they aren't all party central - and hostels and rail passes help make family travel a lot more affordable. So don't give up your dream just yet :-)
